Terms of Service
Last updated: April 9, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Lawli (“the Service”), provided by Lawli Technologies, Inc., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Nature of the Service
Lawli is a legal technology platform that provides guided legal task completion, document generation, and filing kit preparation. Lawli is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We provide self-help services at your specific direction using SCOTX/OCA-approved forms and publicly available legal information.
For advice specific to your situation, use our Attorney Review feature, which connects you with a licensed Texas attorney.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into agreements to use the Service. By using Lawli, you represent that you meet these requirements.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Service Scope and Limitations
- Lawli currently focuses on Texas legal workflows, including eviction response, debt claim response, small claims filing, and LLC formation.
- Documents generated are based on publicly available court forms and statutory templates.
- Preflight checks aim to reduce clerk rejections but do not guarantee acceptance.
- Deadline calculations are based on Texas procedural rules and may not account for all local court variations.
- AI-generated content is informational and should be reviewed before filing.
6. Pricing and Payment
Lawli offers free and paid tiers. Pricing details are available on our Pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected. Attorney Review is an add-on service billed per document. All fees are in U.S. dollars.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of information you provide to Lawli. Documents generated using your inputs belong to you. The Lawli platform, including its software, design, and branding, is the property of Lawli Technologies, Inc.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. LAWLI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DOCUMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED BY ANY COURT OR GOVERNMENT OFFICE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LAWLI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms. Upon termination, you may export your data for 30 days.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
